First Meeting of Fall ‘23
The first meeting had an impressive turnout of over 50 Cornellians! Insomnia cookies and gummies (the best brain foods) were devoured by hungry chess players. The new officers - Kimmy (president), Alex (treasurer), Peter (tournaments lead), Teddy (outreach lead), and myself (marketing lead) - introduced themselves an hour into the gaming. Most players enjoyed casual chess without clocks while the hardcore gamers played timed games of 5+0, 3+2 and even bullet with clocks.
Stay tuned for weekly chess club meets and bughouse tournaments. Get your swagger up with chess merch which will be distributed as prizes (or potentially giveaways) and keep chessing!
This year, we will continue our:
educational lectures that are tailored to various levels, from beginners to advanced
