First Meeting of Fall 2022!

Our first meeting this semester started off incredibly strong as over fifty students showed up to Phillips 213 get their weekly dose of chess! We were ecstatic to see so many new faces and returning friends :) Cornell Chess Club now has number of titled players this year as the new freshman class joins us - our tournaments this year will be very fun and entertaining to say the least ~

We also introduced two new members to our E-board: Teddy (Outreach) and Alex (Treasurer)! They will be integral in helping Chess Club operate our educational outreach program and allocate the budget for as many of us to compete in tournaments on the east coast.

As always, we meet every Friday in Phillips 213 from 6-9pm! Educational lectures will start in the near future as we gauge audience interest. Stay tuned for exciting updates such as the elementary school outreach program, in-club tournaments and simuls, and mentorship programs!
