Bughouse Tournament + Last Meeting of Fall ‘22
Our last meeting was packed full of action: from an intense bughouse tournament to the hype surrounding Chess.com merch, this was a night to remember! Again, huge thank you to Joe and Chess.com for kindly sponsoring our tournament prizes: month-long diamond, platinum, and gold memberships + branded caps, beanies, water bottles, stickers, pins, and magnets!
After 4 intense rounds of 3 minute bughouse games, Arturo and Ralph emerged in clear first with 4/4 points! They each received one month of free diamond chess.com membership, and matching beanies. Huge congratulations!
Alden and Ryan came in clear second with 3/4 points - they each received a free month of platinum memberships, as well as a water bottle / beanie!
There was a four way tie for third place, each team with 2 points. In a dramatic 1 minute bughouse showdown, Mohit + Adam won against Jason C. + David, and Corey + Ari won against Max + Nate.
Ultimately, Corey + Ari defeated Mohit + Adam to snatch third place on tiebreaks! They both received one month of gold membership, as well as some beanies and baseball caps!
Again, congratulations to the winners and thank you everyone who participated! Studying has definitely consumed much of our time these days, but we are honored that you came tonight to have some fun and destress in the best way possible :)
